Submitting Apps to Decent Portal
Three Paths to the Portal
We created the Decent Launch Program to get your app onto the Decent Portal. But maybe it doesn't fit your needs. For example:
- You'd like to develop at your own pace and a 90-day program duration doesn't suit you.
- The guidance and promotion aspects of the program are less valuable to you.
If you like the Decent style of app, you can always use our open source create-decent-app tool to get a project started quickly. It's free open source that can be used by anyone for any purpose.
You might also want to have your app on our portal, enjoying free hosting, deployment tools, and user discovery. You can accomplish this without joining the Decent Launch Program. Your app just needs to meet our requirements. When your app is ready, you can submit it to us for review. And we're happy to answer questions along the way.
One other potential tweak you might like - work on your app for a while, and then join the Decent Launch Program when you feel you are within 90 days of releasing.

App Requirements for Decent Portal
Accepted apps can be nearly anything—tools, games, art, or technical experiments.
They must meet some requirements that allow us to launch them on our Decent Portal in keeping with the Safe+Easy+Playful vision. The main requirement that might be surprise some developers is that apps should not call services.
